Board-Import+ Privacy Policy
Board-Import+ helps users import CSV and XLSX spreadsheet data into Trello boards. This policy explains what information the service processes and why.
Information we process
- Trello account, board, membership, list, label, member, and related identifiers needed to validate access and perform an import.
- Spreadsheet files and the card data they contain.
- Import settings, validation results, progress, errors, and job history.
- Technical logs such as request identifiers, error codes, timestamps, performance data, and aggregated counts.
How we use information
We process this information only to:
- authenticate users and confirm board permissions;
- analyze, validate, and import user-selected spreadsheet rows;
- show import progress, history, and error reports;
- protect the service, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell personal information or use spreadsheet content for advertising.
Trello authorization
Board-Import+ requests Trello read and write access. Read access
is used to validate the destination board and its available fields. Write access is used to
create only the Trello items the user reviews and confirms. Trello access tokens are
encrypted at rest and are not included in application logs.
Users can revoke access through their Trello account settings. Trello's own handling of information is governed by Atlassian's privacy policy.
Storage and retention
Uploaded source files are retained temporarily and are normally deleted within 24 hours. Normalized rows and detailed issues may be retained for up to 30 days. Import history and the created-item ledger may be retained for up to 90 days. Security records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary to protect the service or comply with law.
Board-Import+ polls Trello's compliance API for account deletion, token revocation, token expiry, and profile update notices. When Trello reports a deletion, revoked token, or expired token for a member, Board-Import+ deletes locally stored import jobs and uploaded source files associated with that Trello member.
Service providers
We may use hosting, database, object-storage, monitoring, and email providers to operate Board-Import+. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services. Information may be processed in countries other than the user's country.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, encrypted Trello tokens, input validation, and logs designed to exclude tokens and spreadsheet content. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of their personal information. To make a request, email support@nikaj.dev. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Children
Board-Import+ is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to use Trello in their country.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published.
