Turn a spreadsheet into Trello cards with Board Import Plus. Let’s walk through your first import. Open Board Import Plus on your board. Browse for a local CSV or Excel file, or drag it into the upload area. Check the selected file, then click Analyze file. Board Import Plus automatically matches your columns. Start with the Use preset menu. Standard card import is selected here. You can adjust the fields to suit your import. Choose the card details you need, including lists, descriptions, labels, members, and dates. Uncheck optional fields you want to leave out. Expand More card data for checklists, comments, attachment links, and cover color. In this example, we keep the checklists. Additional fields lets you refine extra values, such as card position and completion status. When your selection is ready, click Continue. Choose whether to use list names from your file or place all cards into one list. Check the options for creating missing lists and labels. To reuse your setup, enter a name under Save preset as, then choose Save as preset. Continue to review when you’re ready. Check the card count and destination lists. Use the card checkboxes to exclude cards you don’t want to import. If import notes appear, open Review details. Check warnings about anything that will be skipped, such as unmatched members or invalid attachment links. Click Import. Check the destination board and card count in the confirmation, then confirm to start. Board Import Plus creates your cards in the background. You can reopen the progress from Import History. We’ve shortened the wait here. Check the created, failed, and ignored counts. View ignored items or download the report to inspect the results. Finally, open an imported card to check its description, dates, and checklist. That’s it. Upload, choose your fields, review, and import. Your next board starts with your spreadsheet.
